Starting in the 1920s, a small Argentinian town called Villa Epecuen was a vacation hot spot. Visitors came for its relaxing atmosphere and lakes. However, in 1985, a seiche broke the town's dam, causing a devastatingly destructive flood that would leave Villa Epecuen underwater for the next 25 years.
Photographer Romain Veillon recently visited the site, capturing the eerie remains of Villa Epecuen. It takes a trained eye to find the beauty left in this ghost town, which Veillon reproduces through his photographs.
