Jordan Mang-osan is an award-winning artist based in the Philippines who creates drawings that are much more striking than your average pen and paper art. Using the sun's energy, he creates amazing pyrography art that depicts subject matter that celebrates the rich heritage of his people and country.
After first sketching a design on a wooden board, Mang-osan uses a magnifying glass to target solar heat on certain areas of the board. The heat then etches darkened lines into the wood, almost like using a pencil on paper, but with incredible precision. It can take several months for Mang-osan to finish each piece of art, and his patience and skill are evident in every piece. Take a look at some of his work:
