Too many times we take things for granted, losing the opportunity to learn something awesome.
Fortunately there are still people driven by curiosity who give us the chance to understand the world, starting from the little things.
Photographer and artist Rose-Lynn Fisher is one of these people: with her project The Topography of Tears, she explores the differences that exist between the various kind of tears.
Yes, you got it right, not all the tears are equal: depending from the feeling that creates them, their look can be much different.
Tears are composed by organic substances like oils, antibodies and enzymes, all suspended in salt water, and the incredible differences between the various kind of tears are given by the different types of hormones and substances that our body secretes whether we are happy, sad, we are laughing and so on.
Moreover, every tear captured under a microscope is crystallized salt, and this is another factor that can give them a different shape every time.
